Overview

1.5 in. (38.1 mm) diameter optical post spacers and extenders increase the height of an SR-Z series magnetic pedestal pillar or SR-B non-magnetic mounting base to be closer to the required optical height without sacrificing stability. Spacers as thin as 1/16th of an inch (1.6 mm) and extensions as long as 4 in. (101.6 mm) are available, all made from solid stainless steel. In particular, the 4 in. (101.6 mm) SR-4P extension post features a "V" groove that allows the SR-SC sliding clamp with its spring-loaded ball detent to ride linearly along the rod without unintentional rotation.

Extension Posts and Spacers for Customizable Heights

Threaded extension posts and spacers allow mounting certain optics at non-standard heights. These stainless steel constructed extension posts and spacers provide a wide variety of options for building posts to mount optical components at customizable heights.

Specially Designed Groove and Peg Extension Post

SR-4P is a special purpose extension post for use with the SR-SC sliding clamp. It features a "V" groove along the axial length of the rod to support the sliding SR-SC clamp and its spring-loaded linear motion. This prevents undesired rotation during alignment, and with Newport’s patented peg fastener, two SR-4P can be aligned as a composite system.
