PBN Series steel base plates are used to connect stages with bottom-surface mounting holes to support structures that are inaccessible from below, such as breadboards and optical tables. An array of tapped and countersunk clearance holes is designed to for compatibility of this baseplate family with a number of different stages, including UMR linear stages, UTR rotation stages, and MVN vertical stages.

Solid Steel for Robust Translation Stage Mounting
Base plates in this series are single pieces of solid steel, from which arrays of tapped and countersunk clearance holes are machined to provide their specific compatibility with the intended positioners.
In general, the final number in the base plate product names indicate the size of the compatible stages or components. For example, M-PBN5 mounts to UMR5, MVN50, and UTR46 Series stages. These base plates are offered in metric versions only, but are compatible with both English and metric models. Model M-PBN12 is compatible with UMR12, MVN120, and UTR120 Series stages and Model M-PBN16 mounts to UTR160 Series Stages. Model M-PBN3 base plates mount to UMR3.5 stages. M-PBN5 is compatible with UMR5, MVN50, and UTR46 stages, and M-PBN8 with UMR8, MVN80 & UTR80 Series stages.
